I play guitar, and am widely described as adequate. I can play rhythm or lead, and can play a solo. I can sing and play rhythm at the same time. I’m not as good as I want to be though. I’ve been plateaued for a long time. A decade, more or less.
So, I started some lessons at the Central Coast Conservatorium. Focussed on jazz. I don’t want to play jazz specifically, but I know that learning some jazz will make me a better player. I also don’t not want to play jazz, ya know.
Learning Blue Bossa, and the scales and arpeggios to play over the sections of it.
I can now see the path ahead. I have work to do. A lot of work, but at least I can see the work I need to do.
